I arrived to Hertz and the employee told me they have NO CARS LEFT!!!! I confirmed they had my reservation - they’re was no mistake on my end - they just oversold their cars!!!! I asked why they didn’t call me to let me know they didn’t have a car by or me and the employee had the gall to say it was MY FAULT for not calling before I came in to make sure they had the car I rented !!!!!! I said are you going to reimburse me for the taxi I took here from the hotel at least - the employee said there is no way for them to do that. I asked for the manager and he said he IS the manager!!! Worst experience ever - I will never ever ever use Hertz again. I’ve never ever had an issue with Enterprise

Drop off at LAX was a BREEZE. They even offered to drive us straight to Departures because we had so much luggage. I was pleasantly surprised by the whole experience.

I had two reservations with Budget - one immediately following the other because of a change of plans. In order for me to "modify" and consolidate the reservations into one, Budget said I would have to pay approximately $300 more. The modification would have saved not only me time and convenience, it would have done the same for Budget employees. This is for using the car for the same number of days (5). I left my phone number and e-mail with the Budget agent and asked that a supervisor review this. I never heard anything.

Never again. Had my reservation for nearly a month, never contacted me to tell me they had no vehicle of the size i needed. However gave ME a phone number to call since that branch might have one. All hours before my flight.

I booked at an Enterprise in downtown Santa Rosa that closed at 1pm on Saturdays, when my flight landed at 2:30. I specifically called days before to check that picking up closer to 3pm would be ok and they confirmed. When I landed, I see that the location is closed for the day and won't be open the next day either. This should have been made very clear before I booked the car. I last minute had to pay more for a new rental at the Enterprise at Santa Rosa airport, which was fine and I was lucky to get one last minute but not ideal.

They didn’t have a car for us

The kayak or Priceline interface changed the pickup location without my consent, and Enterprise didn’t have a car for us at the airport. I had to rent another car from a different company at more than double the cost. I called Priceline to see if they could offset the extra costs and they refused. I will not book a car through kayak or Priceline again.

We asked for an economy Nissan and we were "upgraded" to a ford fusion that was covered in stains old and junky. It was road worthy, and got us where we needed to go but it was not a pleasant car to drive. the person at the counter was great, just an crappy car, we will stick with Hertz next time.

The guy at the pickup counter was so helpful and efficient! The pick up and drop off were simple and quick. We just dropped the key into the return box at the counter:) The car was great…. No problems at all!

This was the worst experience with a car rental. The first Nissan Sentra had dents, faded paint, scratches, bad odor, cracked front windshield, and much more. I asked for a different car and they gave me a black Nissan Sentra. This looked half a star better. It was like driving a vehicle from 1996. When I returned the car, the person at ACE said they were surprised and thankful the car made it back. I will make sure I spread my experience with others.
