The Corpse Party series is a bit confusing if you’re a newcomer. The first game in the series, originally launched in the mid-’90s, has been remade/re-released a ridiculous amount of times. There’s a sequel that isn’t a sequel but also is one (it’s literally called Corpse Party 2: Dead Patient). But now, what you need to know is the Heavenly Host saga. It begins with Corpse Party, continues with Corpse Party: Book of Shadows, and ended with Corpse Party: Blood Drive. But then enters Corpse Party II: Darkness Distortion. In August 2020, the Mages. YouTube channel released a video of the Heavenly Host saga timeline, with the end stating “202X,” “Darkness Distortion,” and “More Corpse…” The game was officially announced last August, but there wasn’t a ton more to know until today past the possible Heavenly Host link until today. But good news! Corpse Party II: Darkness Distortion will be released later this year. Worldwide. Digitally and physically. And there’s a proper announcement trailer to boot!
